Sebastian's Guest Book

“Just back from our third trip. Was just as expected. Lovely place, friendly people. Chilled and relaxed as always! Special mention to two people who we never got to say thank you to before we left - Elena for always keeping our room spotless and for producing fabulous breakfasts and to Anna for being the first smile we saw.”

“Sebastian's Family Taverna and Accommodation is absolutely wonderful. The rooms have everything you could want, are contemporary in style and are of an excellent standard throughout, which sits perfectly alongside the original traditional Taverna - both have been brought together to form a remarkable family friendly, restaurant with accommodation, serving traditional food in an amazing atmosphere with the next generation taking the business forward. We are not critical travellers and did things differently this year, we were not disappointed, Sebastian’s is going places. We felt valued, nothing was too much trouble and the staff have amazing characters which made each evening meal time so special to us. We have just returned and miss Sebastian's and hope to return next year. Highly recommended, you will not find a better place to stay in Agios Gordios, we arrived stressed and tired and left feeling human again. Thank you Sebastian, we send our best wishes to you and your family and staff who are absolutely delightful. We wish you continued success and send our special wishes and affection to Vanessa your lovely Mum. Both of us almost shed a tear when we went home and said our goodbyes, an amazing lady. What a lovely holiday we have had.”

“Having been to Sebastian’s at the same time of year six years ago and promising to go back the year after, circumstances however having prevented this, my husband and I decided 2016 was the time to do it. From booking it in May 2015 through to leaving just under a week ago, we were made to feel like part of the family. If you want to stay at a corporate, impersonal establishment then this is not the place for you. From the moment we saw Sebastian again, it was like we had never been away and to find Maria still working there was also a joy. The lads all worked really hard, chatting away and making people feel welcome. The cleaning staff and Anna are fabulous. Vanessa was as hard working as always and I'm really pleased we managed to interact with her more this time as we didn't really speak much to her last time we went so it was lovely to get to know her more. It was good to catch up with Teresa when we could and my little blonde waiter who is such a cutie and credit to the family, he certainly has his dad's charming personality and he looks so much like Teresa (my personal opinion). I hope he does start working in the business alongside you all. We stayed in an en-suite room (number 7) which was amazing for me in the afternoons as after about 3.30pm I managed to be able to catch the sun as I had a medical issue which meant I could not go out in the sun for most of the holiday (yes Dr Spiro if you're reading this I did sit on the balcony but I covered my legs with a thick beach towel!) It was beautiful to watch the sunset on the balcony and we managed to capture a fantastic picture. The food in the restaurant was stunning, however my favourite Mexican chicken got replaced by BBQ chicken breast which was always so well cooked, maybe next time I can get BBQ chicken breast with a side order of Mexican sauce. One day we just had a night with about six starters and they were so filling and yummy - I need the meatball recipe. The cheesecake as well, made by Maria with Teresa's recipe, is just wow. I will one day get that recipe out of you after a couple of vinos ha ha ha! The homemade white wine was so palatable and easy to drink I could have sat there all day and drunk it. Only bad thing was leaving and I was very controlled and didnt cry (yaaaaaaaay). I do think though that we will take a garden apartment next time as I have fair skin and do find it very hard to constantly sit out in the sun unlike my husband who finds it very easy to go brown. So I could sit out on the balcony and go in if I get too hot. We cannot WAIT to go back and as you all know we WILL see you either June 12th next year or June 11th 2018. Much love to you all.”

“We went for a family holiday to Teresa and Sebastian's taverna after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We can see why they have such high ratings - very friendly, go out of their way to help, lovely apartments and overall a great holiday.”

“Sebastian's is a gem - and really good value for money. It is clearly well led and managed by Sebastian and Teresa who give the staff the time and space to provide excellent service with an open, warm and friendly approach. We had a first floor double - immaculately clean, with a great shower, comfy bed and partial sea view from the small balcony. The Taverna restaurant is well laid out (tables are not close together so you won't feel like part of someone else's conversation), informal and has a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a varied, well prepared and presented choice of treats. This is the only holiday I have ever been on where I have eaten in the same place every night - and enjoyed something different on each evening. It is in a good location - everything is accessible and at this time of year, Agios Gordis is a quiet and easy place to be. Thanks to all for a great break.”
